JOURNEY
My journey into mindful living began in the midst of deadlines and paperwork—as an Intellectual Property Law attorney in the bustling heart of Mumbai. While there was stability, the high-stress environment and sedentary work started taking a toll on my health. This is when yoga entered my life – not just as an exercise, but as a healing practice.
In search of balance, I ended up at an ashram, where a chance conversation led me to pursue a master’s degree in Yoga Therapy at S-VYASA University in Bangalore. I later traveled to Nepal and Rishikesh, diving deeper into the practice and philosophy of yoga.
In May 2023, Raj—my then-boyfriend, and now husband—shared with me his dream of living a peaceful life, away from the city chaos. Despite working as an IT professional for a US-based company, he envisioned something more meaningful. That shared vision connected us and brought us closer. And together, we started dreaming of creating a vibrant yoga community, a space where others could experience the same transformation.
And so, Yogalayah was born—a leap of faith into the unknown. At 40, newly married, we embarked on our shared quest for a yogic lifestyle. It was a small rebellion born out of the belief that if not now, then when?
We are commited to building a warm, welcoming community, a space where people can reconnect with themselves, and experience life within and beyond. We truly believe in making this world a better place to live in.
